I have invested in real estate for decades and first contacted Mark in 2012 because I wanted to purchase a condo on Town Lake. I quickly learned that the high rise units were beyond my budget, but Mark told me about several mid-rise and low-rise complexes in my price range that occasionally came on the market. Those were few and far between and were often the object of over-bidding battles, but Mark sent me word on every listing as soon as he heard about it – often before it went on MLS – along with his honest opinion on its value as an addition to my investment portfolio. I passed on many because I wanted a lake view, I lost a few others in the bidding wars, but since 2012 I have purchased six units, from a single family home in South Austin to condos downtown and Northwest Hills under his guidance. All were bought “site – unseen” by me (the only way to be in the game if you are not a local) after Mark personally checked them out and all have turned out to be solid investments. Mark and his team handled every step of the purchase process and provided me with names for inspectors painters, electricians, flooring, plumbing, etc. for all the post-acquisition needs that go with a purchase – and those service providers were reasonable and did good work.
Mark also leased out the units for me – some several times over, again taking care of all the details, and represented me in selling property as well.
I have referred several of my out-of-town and out-of-state friends to Mark and his team and all have been pleased with his attention to their special needs as “absentee clients”. He is my Go-To Realtor in Austin. – Judith S.
